Let face it... this is simply another government exercise in publicity...
The overall risk to Aboriginal women is about what you would infer from just combining the very high general Aboriginal exposure to lethal violence with the much reduced general female exposure to it.

No third, additional element of risk is apparent in the numbers: over the 1980-2012 period covered in the RCMP report, for example, StatsCan estimates that 14 per cent of all female murder victims were Aboriginal, but 17 per cent of male murder victims were.

Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre finds himself in a unique position. Having just declared Canada’s second largest metropolis a “sanctuary city,” he now finds himself an unlikely defender of a summer rodeo against animal rights activists who are distributing a petition to ban the event.

The animal rights activists, who have tried unsuccessfully for decades to shut down the world-famous Calgary Stampede, think they have found a potential victory in their Montreal campaign, where support for rodeos is not has enormous as it is in the Western province of Alberta.
Speaking of "sanctuary cities"...
The Trudeau government is planning to quietly introduce new measures to rubber-stamp the approval of many asylum seekers — including people from dangerous and war-torn countries who may pose a threat to Canada’s national security. It goes on to state that, under the new forthcoming process, “certain claims identified by the RPD as straight forward will be scheduled for a short hearing.”

That process would mean that “certain claims may be approved without a hearing” and instead would be rubber-stamped based on a “paper-based only” application.

Liberal Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan has offered "clarification" after claiming to be the “architect” of a major Canadian military offensive in Afghanistan almost a decade ago. It doesn’t appear that the comments were a slip of the tongue. The reference to being "the architect of Operation Medusa" was contained in the prepared text.

“Major Sajjan certainly wouldn’t have been the chief planner,” Military historian Jack Granatstein said in a phone interview. “That he would say such a thing in a public address is bizarre. This is going to make people think he’s a little bit deluded.”

It’s a puzzling misstep, too, since Sajjan’s service in Afghanistan had already given him plenty to boast about without stretching tales.

A Tale of Two Bills

Assume for these purposes that all of the accusations in both cases are true.

For one Bill (O'Reilly), these are accusations of failed jokes, allegedly inappropriate looks, allegedly condescending remarks, and, in the most recent case that brought matters to a head, an invitation to a hotel room which was declined and not pursued further.

For the other Bill (Clinton), it is accusations of rape, blatantly improper sexual contact including with a young intern and a babysitter, numerous instances of forcible contact and groping, and attempted seduction.
And don't get me started on spawn of Hillary...
Chelsea Clinton, most recently lionized on the cover of Variety, is a 37-year-old multi-millionaire who has never uttered an interesting word about any subject at any time during the course of her life. Judging from the evidence of her public statements, she has never had an original thought — it isn’t clear that she has had a thought at all.

Is Justin Trudeau building another France?

After the mid-twentieth century, the French state built a vast stock — about 5 million units—of public housing, which now accounts for a sixth of the country’s households. Much of it is hideous-looking, but it’s all more or less affordable.

Its purpose has changed, however. It is now used primarily for billeting not native French workers, as once was the case, but immigrants and their descendants, millions of whom arrived from North Africa starting in the 1960s.

Public-housing inhabitants are almost never ethnically French; the prevailing culture there nowadays is often heavily, intimidatingly Muslim.
Equally concerning is what has happened to "free speech"... certainly a hot topic these days in North America...
In France, political correctness is more than a ridiculous set of opinions; it’s also—and primarily—a tool of government coercion. When Guilluy writes of the “criminalization of criticism of the dominant model,” he is not speaking metaphorically. France’s antiracist Pleven law, which can punish speech, passed in 1972.

In 1990, the Gayssot law criminalized denial or “minimization” of the Holocaust and repealed parts of France’s Law of July 29, 1881, on Freedom of the Press. Both laws are landmarks in Europe’s retreat from defending free speech. Suits against novelists, philosophers, and historians have proliferated.
Which brings us to an interesting question; "What will French Revolution 2.0 look like?"

I'm guessing that will likely be shaped, in the short term anyway, by next months election.
